In this session, Shannon will explore the complexities of the Levelized Cost of Capture (LCOC), a key economic metric for carbon capture projects, and introduce the Knowledge Centre’s LCOC calculator, developed to help industry, government, and stakeholders compare projects consistently. Findings from Emissions Reduction Alberta’s Carbon Capture Kickstart program will also be shared.
