Matt has 15 years of technical experience in unconventional resource development in Western Canada with a focus on CCS MMV (measurement, monitoring & verification) and subsurface evaluation/risk assessment over the last three years. Technical experience includes extensive work studying microseismicity (fracture containment and interaction with natural fractures) due to hydraulic fracturing and injection. He has been a guest speaker at multiple technical conferences ranging from the commerciality of CCS to induced seismicity, and participated in the initial B.C. induced seismicity reporting standards, presenting to the B.C. Hydraulic Fracturing Review Panel in 2018. He received his BSc in Geophysics from the University of Calgary and is a registered professional Geoscientist with APEGA.
