Lylia Khennache, Ph.D is Vice President, Climate Solutions at Airex Energy. In this role, Lylia leads initiatives to advance biochar projects and actively works to develop the commercial pipeline for biochar in Canada. Her focus includes fostering collaborations to deepen understanding of biochar applications and its environmental benefits.

Previously, Lylia managed integrated risk at Hydro-Québec and served as Project Manager in Water, Environment, and Renewable Energy for Cowater International. Lylia is an economist by training, with a focus on ecological economics, and holds a Ph.D. in Bioresource Engineering from McGill University.

With over 15 years of experience in risk management, business development, international development, environmental stewardship, water management, and gender issues, Lylia also served on various boards, such as Oxfam-Québec, Institute of Public Administration of Canada and the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
