We are at a decisive phase for heavy emitters, with geopolitical shifts, decarbonization targets and industry uncertainty adding pressure to the energy sector. This year’s conference will explore the critical role of CCS in the global energy transition, with a focus on capital investment, emerging technologies, geopolitics, and carbon markets. As a pioneer in in the low-carbon economy, Canada has established huge fund support for low-carbon technology development. Yet, continued collaboration across industry and governments remains essential to ensure CCS is a viable and necessary tool in accelerating global decarbonization in an evolving geopolitical landscape.
