Jon Noad

Jon graduated from Imperial College, London in 1985. After working as a mining geologist in South Africa, he returned to the UK to analyze submarine cable routes around the globe. He completed a Masters in Sedimentology (with Distinction) at evening classes, leading to a PhD. on the sedimentary evolution of eastern Borneo. He then joined Shell, working as an Exploration and Production Geologist. Senior geology related roles followed at Murphy (Exploration Manager), Husky (Manager, New Graduates), DigitCore and Gran Tierra, as well as running a successful geology training company involving both industry and teaching at several universities. He joined Stantec as Senior Palaeontologist in 2022 and works on construction and CCS projects.
