Farbod Sharif

Farbod Sharif, PhD, P.Eng, PMP : Farbod is currently a Senior Research Engineer in the Carbon Capture, Utilization & Decarbonization team at InnoTech Alberta. With a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Calgary, he boasts over 10 years of experience in tackling diverse environmental challenges, spanning from wastewater treatment to carbon capture and conversion. Before joining InnoTech Alberta, Farbod held the position of Chief Technology Officer at Carbon Corp. During his nearly three-year tenure there, he not only played a pivotal role in leading the team through the Carbon XPrize competition, where Carbon Corp was a finalist and won the 2021 X-Factor award, but also contributed significantly to combating climate change by converting CO2 into value-added products.
