Dr. Shelagh J. Baines

Shelagh is the Global Practice Lead in Carbon Management for Halliburton Consulting. A geoscientist by background, Shelagh has spent the past two decades developing risk-based workflows and working on site screening, selection, and storage development projects for international operators and storage developers.  Her experience includes working for major energy companies, international consultancy groups and as an independent consultant. Her focus is on the development of CO₂ storage projects to enable decarbonization of power generation, heavy industry, and direct air capture (DAC) projects. She has been invited onto several technical oversight committees and has multiple publications on the topic of CO₂ storage.
